<text>Because these are windows, not buttons, they float above HyperCard's window.To keep up the illusion of real buttons, your stacks MUST keep track of all the windows!I keep two global variables (cdPICTlist and bgPICTlist) filled with the names of all the PICTs I open.When I leave a card, I close all the windows in the card's variable (cdPICTlist).I do the same thing with the background PICT buttons.There is no need for a stack variable if the other two are always kept updated.Remember, the user can move the stack's window, and leave the other windows behind.I use a MoveWindow handler to readjust all open PICT windows when the card is moved.</text>

<text>All the color you see on the cards is the result of displaying PICT resources with the Picture XCMD.Each color button is based on a real HyperCard button on the card or in the background.My handlers require that the button and its PICT have the same name.Also, you can't have several PICTs with the same name, or HyperCard will ignore all but one.(This can be avoided with the "get the id of window mywindow" property, but I don't use it here.)When the PICT is loaded, but before it is shown, make the window's rect the same as the button's.A MouseDownInPicture handler catches the mouse's actions and sends them one at a time to the button.The button's script is written normaly.</text>
